If I Could be a Raindrop
Poem by Amenah Manzoor
Looking at the pink periwinkle
Thinking of my dreams
Dream to be full-filled at any cost
I was drenched and so lost
Through a sudden explosion of clouds
Little droplets made their way
From sky to the full bloomed periwinkle
Interrupting me to think anymore
Picking up the rain droplet on my fingertips
I wondered how difficult would it be
To sacrifice one's self for anyone
like this droplet glistening the periwinkle
Rainfall making the soil satiate the thirst
Nature is benevolent, selfless and kind
We, human beings are merciless
Quitting all the dreams would be worthy
If I could be a raindrop, the munificent
A Melody of Hope
Poem by Amenah Manzoor
Are you feeling low
Just don’t be sad
World is all mad
Can you hear it?
It was been echoing
Words are glowing
Can you feel it?
Burning in the heart
Like an eternal drought
But remember that
Sun will shine
Rain will fall
'll bring you the joy
So get up and say
Sadness goodbye
Goodbye bye bye
